Plant Surveys, Audits, Reporting & Recommendations
Sometimes it takes a different perspective to see ways to improve your process.
Water and wastewater treatment plants require regular maintenance checks and adjustments by trained and competent operators. Often, these plants slowly degrade due to a lack of expertise, time or money, becoming inefficient at treating water properly and eventually breaking down.
We recommend performing a thorough plant inspection and audit. We include the following in our plant audit scope of work:
- Sampling and analysis of incoming raw, treated water and other critical points in the process
- Mixed Liquor Suspended Solids (MLSS) sampling and lab analysis to determine the concentration and condition of activated sludge (bacteria) within the reactor
- Performing sludge volume (SV) tests from both the reactor and the clarifier to determine the volume of activated sludge in the water, which will indicate de-sludging intervals
- Mechanical checks of the plants' technologies to determine if they are in working order
- Comprehensive reports based on the results, which include recommendations and solutions.
The audit results are used to compile a comprehensive report detailing the plants’ overall functionality and our recommendations regarding the need for refurbishment, upgrading or replacement of equipment.
